10am Saturday
1. Melina: Egyptian Disco - all levels - have fun with your inner diva! This fusion style drum solo incorporates flamenco hands with North African hip drops and chest pops, plus Choo-Choo, Earthquake and Two Hip Shimmies. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Dancing on Goblets with Deniz - intermediate to advanced. Technique, styling, stage presentation, and music selection for dancing while balancing on goblets or water glasses. This class includes some veil and floorwork. Please bring your own goblets, tumblers, or glasses (plastic is OK for first timers!). $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.

1. LUNCH order forms ($7 from Eddie's Deli) will be collected at 11am sharp. Please pay for and pick up your selection between 1pm and 1:30 near the registration desk.
2. Melina: Snakes, Locks, Isolations, Level Changes, and Articulations - intermediate to advanced. Learn the secrets of Melina's latest innovations while getting a killer workout before lunch! $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
3. Piper's Intro to Belly Dance - beginners - learn the fundamentals of belly dance ankle-knee-hip alignment, posture, hipwork technique, and shimmies. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
4. The Fitness Pharaoh - all levels. Belly dancers need a strong core in order to hold a proper dance posture. A dancer who can't center her pelvis will usually revert to a sway-back position which makes most Middle Eastern dance movements more difficult. This seminar will teach you how to strengthen your core muscles and improve your overall posture and dance presentation. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
noon Saturday
1. Piper's Arms Workshop - all levels. Add style and pizzazz to your dance with lots of ideas for arm poses and movements, plus Piper's performing and choreography tips, and "how to dance to a whole song with only three steps." $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Melina's Intro to Belly Dance - Steps and Combos for beginners. After a fluid & funky warm-up with stretching, the class moves from basic hipwork to shimmies and snake-like slow work. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
1pm Saturday
1. Belly Dance Styles and How To Achieve Them! Piper shares secrets of posture and hipwork with arm variations to create the total look that will work with your costume and music. Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese, American Cabaret, folkloric, it's all here! All Levels. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Devra: Introduction to Veil Dancing - beginners. Circular vs. rectangular, silk vs. synthetic, how to hold, how to tuck, how to unwrap. Devra?s tips and tricks will help you get started. Veil novices can take this class as preparation for Artemis's Veil Dance Workshop. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
3. Taqsim Workshop with Deniz - all levels. Begin with strengthening exercises and detailed technqiue for stomach work, and then move on to combos with arms and hip isolations for standing and floorwork Taqsim. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2pm Saturday
1. Artemis: Veil Dance - all levels. Artemis is a master instructor, historian, and dance ethnographer. Her lyrical and elegant veil techniques will elevate your dancing to a new level. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Devra: Introduction to Turkish Oriental Style Belly Dance - beginners. Learn basic foot work, and hipwork techniques for the most common rhythms in Turkish Oriental Dance, Turkish 9/8s and chiftitelli. Novices can take this class as preparation for Artemis's 3pm Turkish Oriental Workshop. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
3. Issam: Middle Eastern Rhythms and Drumming for Dancers - all levels. Learn the rhythms and musical structures that are most common in Middle Eastern music. This knowledge will help the beginner understand Middle Eastern Dance, and improve the professional dancer's choreographed and improvisational performances. *Attendees do not need drums for this class. 3pm Saturday
1. Artemis: Turkish Oriental - all levels. Cabaret Dancing in the flamboyant Istanbul style. Artemis is a performer, writer, master instructor, and dance historian. Learn from the best! $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Kostana: Introduction to Turkish Romany - beginners. Learn footwork and gestures complete with accents & variations to Romani 9/8 rhythms and Turkish Romani social dancing. This is a stand-alone class, but you can also use it as preparation for the 4pm Turkish Romany Workshop with master teacher Artemis. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
3:30pm Saturday
1. Issam: Essential Techniques & Rhythms for the Tabla. This class is for those who want to learn to play the tabla (dumbek), and will cover basic techniques & drills for the tabla as well as an introduction to Middle Eastern Rhythms. 4pm Saturday
1. Artemis: Turkish Romany - all levels. Turkish "Gypsy" dance with hand gestures. Learn emphasis and accentuation for different 9/8 rhythms, from evocative slow 9s to the lightning fast, exciting karsilama. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
2. Lisa Zahiya: Introduction to Tribal - beginners. Learn the Tribal vocabulary of basic movements, cues and techniques that allow a synchronized performance through subtle cueing and non-verbal communication. $18 by 8/3, $20 at the door.
